Abstract
PERCEPTION OF DIVERSITY MANAGEMENT IN HOSPITALS: EXAMPLE OF A UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
This paper was carried out to reveal the perceptions of the diversity management of university hospital staff. For this purpose, the “Diversity Management Scale” was used. In order to determine the reliability of the scale, Cronbach's Alpha internal consistency coefficient value was looked into and this value was determined as .96. In this respect, a total of 402 hospital staff were surveyed. In the analysis of the data obtained as a result of the application, Correlation Analysis was used to determine the relationship between dependent variable and independent variable. Dependent variables consist of perceptions of employees regarding the diversity management. Also independent variables consist of gender, age, marital status, education level, duty in the hospital, occupational working time and working time in the current section. As a result of the study, it was seen that there was no significant relationship between the perception levels of the participants regarding the diversity management and gender, age, marital status, education level, occupational working time and working time variables in the current department. However, a significant relationship was found between perception levels of the participants regarding the diversity management and the duty variable in the hospital.
