Abstract
THE FUTURE OF U.S. HEGEMONY IN THE CONTEXT OF THE HEGEMONY DEBATES
The concept of hegemony has an important place in the discipline of International Relations. It is observed that the system established by the states which are defined as Hegemon has increased and weakened within a certain period of time. In this paper, it is discussed in the context of which the US has a hegemon, which in the international system leads to the shattering of the foundations on which the international system is based, in particular international law, and that the US cannot continue as a hegemony in the future. Especially in the context of the hegemony debates and the consent and coercion context of Antonio Gramsci's definition of hegemony in the present, it will be explained which of these two phenomena the USA is now meeting.
