Abstract
KARA KOVAN BOOK AS AN EXAMPLE OF CRITICAL GRAPHIC DESIGN PRODUCT
The Black-hive workshop book was published in March-June 2018 at Marmara University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Graphic Department, with the participation of 16 students, under the direction of Dr. Alaattin Kirazcı who producing Ecological Art Works within the scope of "Organic Sculpture" project, the group members of "Love of the Bee" initiative Nil İlkbaşaran - Güngör Erdem and the member of Graphic Department Dr. Ali Can Metin. The book has been printed and reproduced by screen printing with 30 units and 200 sheets.
In this article, the Black Hive book examines from a contextual and spatial point of view. In the research, spatial features of the book and the formal features of the page designs were mentioned. Contextually, the book was examined as a critical design product and its reasons were discussed.
