Abstract


METAPHORES CREATED BY 4 TH GRADE STUDENTS ABOUT THE CLASSROOM TEACHERS’ ABİLİTİES TO SUPPLY THE EFFECTİVENESS OF CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT
In this study, it is aimed to be determined the abilities of classroom teachers to ensure the effectiveness of classroom management through the metaphors created by the 4th grade students. In this study, there are 424 students educated in 4 primary school in Karabağlar/ İzmir. This study has been conducted using qualitative research. It is used content analysis in data analysis. Interview form which is applied to students has filling the gaps question types that ask the effectiveness dimensions taking part in effectiveness of classroom management model. It is asked from students to fill these gaps with metaphors that they created. While analyzing these metaphors, the dimensions of effectiveness of classroom management model are accepted as a category. Created metaphors are added these categories and then they analized. Categories are; creating classroom’s own value system and continue it, succeeding the aim, adaptation and integration of itself. According to findings of metaphors that students created; teachers achieved the effectiveness about timing and activities about classroom management effectiveness, but did not achieve the effectiveness about classroom’s model of bahaviour and model of relationship.
