Abstract
THE EDUCATION SYSTEM OF THE NETHERLANDS: SOME IMPLICATIONS TOWARDS TURKISH EDUCATION SYSTEM
In this study, it is aimed to examine a few parameters of the Education System of the Netherlands, a European country with the world's most established and respected educational institutions and make some deductions for the Turkish Education System. In this aspect, firstly the geographical, political, social and economic situation of the Netherlands is covered; then The Dutch education system has been examined in terms of various parameters such as purpose, structure and process. The size of the structuring of the education system was taken into account by the managerial structuring and school structuring parameters; process dimension is covered by the parameters of education and training, training of managers and teachers, education supervision and financing of education. In the light of the obtained data, some of the inferences for the Turkish Education System have been made by specifying the outstanding features of the Dutch education system.
