Abstract
GLOBAL ENERGY MARKET AFTER THE IRANIAN REVOLUTION
Iranian Revolution of 1979 had created a politically, economically and geopolitically effect which was resonant at regional and global level. Especially in energy markets, re-evaluation of the power and position of global actors refers to the secondary dimension of the Revolution, which is not considered much. In spite of its political divide with the West, Iran's energy resources and potential has not lost its importance, on the contrary, these sources have led to the acceleration in the East-West block and in the Western block (US-EU) competition Although this competition could be delayed due to regional crises, especially after the nuclear agreement signed between P5 + 1 countries and Iran in 2015, it has started to be discussed again and openly. This article discusses the competition on Iran's energy resources, which is overshadowed by the economic embargo and isolation policy against Iran.
