Abstract
OPINIONS OF THE BUSINESS REPRESENTATIVE ON THE EFFECTIVENESS OF VOCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL ANATOLIAN HIGH SCHOOL SKILL TRAINING COURSE
The purpose of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the skill training course of the 12th grade students of the child development and education department at the vocational and technical Anatolian high schools according to business representatives’ opinions. In the study, descriptive research method, one of the general survey models, was used. The study group consists of 40 representatives working at the corporations in which 12th grade child development and education department students continue their skills trainings. As the data collecting tool in the study, the questionnaire of “Opinions Sector Representatives of Internship in Business of Vocational Business Representatives” was used. The study findings are as follows: 1- The opinions of the business representatives on the effectiveness of skill training in dimensions of preliminary preparations to be made in corporations and professional training process dimensions are above the average and positive. 2- The opinions of business representatives’ on effectiveness of skill education show variety according to the area of profession. Considering the level of application of the preliminary preparations to be made by corporations, the opinions of business representatives in the field of child development and pre-school occupation are higher than the opinions in pre-school teaching profession. On the other hand, there is no significant difference between the opinions of the business representatives in different professional fields on the level of implementation of duties and responsibilities that must be fulfilled by corporations in the vocational training process. 3- The opinions of the business representatives’ on the effectiveness of skill education do not show any variety according to marital status, graduated school, task at the corporation, work field of the corporation, working period at the corporation and capacity of the intern student of the company variables. 4- There is a significant positive correlation between the degree of application of the preliminary preparations to be made in corporations and the level of implementation of the duties and responsibilities that must be fulfilled by the corporations in the vocational education process.
