Abstract


THE MATCH GIRL AND THE UGLY DUCKLING FAIRY TALES OF CONTRIBUTION TO CHILD EDUCATION AND VALUE EDUCATION
It is of utmost importance to take advantage of written and oral literary products in child education. The concept of children is considered to be an important tool used in education for describing difficult situations. These literary works, which use imagery and animals, plants or objects in an effective way with human behavior, dream-real dilemma between children who live together in certain periods of a familiar world. For this reason, from early ages, the tale has become a kind of attracting children. It has become inevitable to use children's works that are so influential and attracting children's attention as a tool for their own behavior and appreciation. Tales from our literary products are also one of the educational tools we use to convey our attitudes towards children when we raise our children. People value their values and add meaning to them. It is difficult to keep a value that is meaningless for society and human life. This is because values, societies, groups, or people that keep alive value make sense of value and value it. Examining values is necessary to demonstrate people's attitudes and behaviors. In this study, the Andersen fairy tales of the Match Girl and the Ugly Duckling were discussed and their contributions to children's education and value education were examined
