Abstract


THE COMPARISON OF VALUES IN PRIMARY SCHOOL CURRICULUM
Value education is a lifelong process. Primary school term is an important stage in this process. Because this term is very important for personality development. Curriculum that important for values education is a part of school life. This research tries to put forward whether values take place in primary school programs, if so to what extent it take place. The qualitative research methods were used and the data was consisted of Life Science, Turkish, Mathematics, Games and Physical Activity, Sport Events, Visual Arts and English courses curriculum. There is no limitation at the courses, but classes are limited to 1th, 2nd, and 3th classes. The values were researched through investigation of curriculum items. It is found that Life Science and Turkish courses curriculum are highly related to values; English course do not include any values.
