Abstract


VIEWS OF PRE-SERVICE TEACHERS RELATED TO TEACHER’S QUALITIFICATIONS (SAMPLE OF ADIYAMAN UNIVERSITY)
Teaching is a profession that requires special expertise and has some special proficiencies. This special proficiency can only be supported in the special teaching process. The special teaching process can be provided through the education faculties in our country and around the world. However, while providing these proficiencies in education faculties,it is important that how conscious preservice teachers are about the proficiencies.From this point the purpose of this research is to present the opinions of teachers on teacher qualifications. In this study, interview technique that is commonly used and one of the techniques of qualitative research method is used. The study group of this study consisted of the students who are in the 4th classes of department of education sciences and department of elemantary in Adıyaman University and the interviews were conducted about the subject. The interviews were recorded in the video or audio recording device and put down on a paper according to the preferences of the teachers. Data that put on a paper was evaluated and coded with the descriptive analysis method and content analysis. Interpretations were made by using the codes. As a result, in general preservice teachers in the 4th classes are aware of the teachers qualifications and mention these qualifications positively.
