Abstract


A RESEARCH ON THE EFFECTS OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS’ TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP ROLES ON ORGANIZATIONAL INNOVATION AND DECISION PARTICIPATION ACCORDING TO TEACHERS' PERCEPTIONS
In this study, the effects of the transformational leadership roles of school administrators on the organization's innovation and participation in the decisions are examined according to the teachers' perceptions. In the study universe of the research, there are 6908 public and private teachers working in preschool, primary and secondary education working in Zonguldak province. 280 teachers were determined by the stratified sampling method that is one of the non-random methods. Transformational leadership scale, organizational ınnovation scale, teacher decision-making scales were used to collect data in the descriptive survey model. Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, analyzes were used to analyze the data in the study according to the research questions. According to the perceptions of male participants and female participants, and the perceptions of teachers working in the public and private sectors, there was a significant difference in school administrators' attitudes towards transformational leadership and decision making. When the perceptions of the participants were examined according to seniority, age, school level, and type of work placement, significant differences were found in school administrators' attitudes towards transformational leadership and organizational innovation and participation in decisions. At the same time, when the perceptions of the participants were analyzed according to the union they are members of, the significant differences were found in the attitudes of school administrators towards transformational leadership, organizational innovation and participation in decisions.
