Abstract
THE OPINIONS OF RESIDENTS TOWARDS ECONOMC, SOCIO-CULTURAL AND EDUCATIONAL IMPACTS OF TOURISM IN ÇANAKKALE
Although thousands of tourists visit every year the province of Çanakkale, it is not receive enough tourism income. However, sustainability in tourism and local development needs for the extension of the duration of stay of tourists. So local people’s attitudes towards tourism is also important. The aim of this study is determined the effect of tourism activities which are economic, social, cultural and educational on local people Who are living in the province of Çanakkale, Design of the study is screening model. The data was collected using a questionnaire developed by the researchers. The universe of this study is the local people living in the province of Çanakkale, the sample of this study is 580 people living in the province of Çanakkale. Survey forms were implemented to the people during the spring of 2013 who participated volunteers that they were living in the different parts of the city. The research of data obtained from the SPSS 17.0 package program and setting the tables were reviewed. According to the findings of the research, ıt is seen that tourism activities have a positive impact on sample, in economic, socio-cultural and educational.
