Abstract
BAKIMA MUHTAÇ MÜLTECİ BİREYLERE HİZMET VEREN ULUSLARARASI BAKIM VE BARINMA MERKEZLERİNİN İNCELENMESİ: VAKA ANALİZİ YÖNTEMİ
The aim of this study is to investigate existing or ongoing projects serving older migrants in Europe to determine the conditions of care facilities for older refugees in Turkey. Case study method, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study. The population of the study is the care facilities for older migrants in the EU, and the sample consists of care facilities for older migrants in Germany, Belgium, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Sweden, and a guide for the care of older Muslim migrants in Australia. It can be seen that older Muslims in Europe have certain needs that require special measures to meet. Meeting these demands will improve the quality of life of older people and make a significant contribution to their physical and emotional well-being. One of the biggest obstacles is the lack of trained staff to work in Muslim care homes who speak the language of the Muslim elderly. Unless this problem is addressed, it is very difficult to increase the number of Muslim nursing homes. As soon as possible, necessary arrangements should be made to train these personnel and this gap should be closed.
