Abstract
SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS’ COMPETENCES TO MANAGE CHANGE: THE CASE OF SAMSUN PROVINCE
The research on the competencies of school administrators to manage change according to teachers’ perceptions was conducted with the survey model. The sample of the study consists of 380 teachers working in all educational levels affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in Samsun province in the 2023-2024 academic year and who voluntarily responded to the research questionnaire applied online. The data collected with the “Competency Scale for Managing Change” developed by Ak (2006) were analysed with SPSS analysis programme. In line with the findings of the research, it was concluded that according to the perceptions of the teachers, school administrators’ competencies in managing change were at a “very/high” level in the overall scale and its sub-dimensions; there was no differentiation in the perceptions of the teachers according to gender, age and title variables, but there was a differentiation according to educational status, seniority and level of education.
