Abstract
ASSESSMENT OF SPATIAL DISTRIBUTION EFFICIENCY OF HEALTH SERVICES IN AL-RUSAFA SIDE IN BAGHDAD BY USING GIS
The research addresses the assessment of the efficiency of health services spatial distribution in Al-Rusafa side in Baghdad in 2021 at the level of the four districts that comprise Al-Rusafa side, tackling the governmental health services represented by the hospitals and primary health centers and trying to find an answer for the research problem, which is knowing the size of the components of health services and their distribution and analysis and finding the variations and factors responsible for this variation.
The study concluded that the current distribution of health services confronts a noticeable defect because of the absence of a real criterion in the distribution process as they don’t follow international or even local criteria. There is an increasing need for health services at the level of hospitals and health centers in accordance with the size of population and area of the district.
