Abstract
THEMATIC CONVERGENCE OF INTERIOR DESIGN AND SUSTAINABLE DESIGN TECHNIQUES (AS A CASE STUDY) OF THE INCHEON AIRPORT TERMINAL IN SOUTH KOREA - A MODEL
The interior designer has become able to know the value of natural
resources and raw materials, and through this, the serious
challenges for the interior designer of this era are based on how to
benefit from the study of the objective convergence between interior
design and sustainable design techniques in a manner that takes
into account the characteristics of the surrounding environment so
that it adapts to the natural conditions functionally and
aesthetically, and from Meanwhile, there are multiple models of
modern buildings that try to simulate this objective convergence,
especially the Incheon Airport terminal in South Korea as a model
Which relied in its designs on the study of design dimensions in order
to reduce energy consumption, considering that nature is a producer
of design ideas, because it represents an objective convergence
because it is a simulation tool that contributes to maintaining the
quality of the internal environment. Interior design and sustainable
design techniques for the Incheon airport terminal in South Korea (a
model)? While the importance of the research lies in studying the
requirements of building a sustainable interior design based on
reducing pollution and compatibility with the surrounding
environment based mainly on the use of integrated environmental
technologies and systems. While the research aims to reveal the
objective convergence between interior design and sustainable
design techniques for the Incheon airport terminal in South Korea as
a model), the research study also included the axes of the theoretical framework as well as the research procedures represented by the
research methodology based on the analytical descriptive approach
(case study). The most important results, conclusions,
recommendations and future proposals.
