Abstract
A COMPARATIVE LITERARY ESSAY ON JANE AUSTEN'S PERSUASION AND YAKUP KADRI KARAOSMANOĞLU'S MANSION FOR RENT
The literature of countries that exist or continue/continue to exist in different places around the world can be influenced by each other. While it is normal for literatures that exist in the present time period to be influenced by each other, what is really interesting is that literatures that exist in the past are influenced by each other. Because communication opportunities in the past are very, very limited compared to the present time, it is interesting that they were influenced or influenced. Here, the influence of nations living or living in this different geography on each other and the study of this interaction is generally called “comparative literature.
In this study, the works of Jane Austen from English literature and Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu from Turkish literature were focused on. The works of these two authors [Jane Austen] persuasion and [Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu] rent Konak were discussed in the main center to be “space”. Based on the mansion [in ikna], which is the central place, and the mansion [in Konak for rent], the family in two texts, the life lived and the influence of the life lived on people in a “material” way were investigated.
