The Timurid period, especially the Husein Baikara period, is a period in which culture and art reached their peak, all kinds of artists, scientists, poets were protected, and cultural activities were supported. It is known that a close friend of Baikara, Ali Shir Nevâyî, has a unique authority in this regard and supports all aspects of the cultural and artistic life of Herat. At the same time, Nevâyî is a poet who masterfully masters every aspect of his period in his works, and the theme of music is one of them. Names of maqams, songs, instruments and performers presented in the works of Nevâyî can give information about how music developed during the Timurid period, what the music was based on, what instruments were used, what kind of artists performed their art. In this article have been studied words related to the maqam, playing, song, melody, performer and instruments dating from the Timurid period, which are reflected in the works of Nevâyî.
