Abstract


TRANSFORMATION IN DESIGN IN THE INDUSTRY 4.0 PROCESS
The design area can be seen as one of the main elements of digitalization. When the concept of design is considered as a form of communication, it seems that there is no space that people do not touch in their daily life. In this study, the concept of design has been tried to be examined in the point of contact with human life in the historical process. This transformation has also been tried in the process of industrial revolutions in terms of economic history, and the transformation of design into conceptual, theory and application areas has been tried to be analyzed. It can be seen that the effect of technological progress in the information age, especially visual culture development and transformation, is great. The speed of movement and depth of influence of knowledge in the virtual world is also transforming the intercultural interaction. Especially, it can be thought that the reduction of your visual perception to individual users in every field, the concept of digitalization, enables you to come to a position that emphasizes individuality. Now the service or information presentation is specially designed for the individual and the individuality is brought to the forefront. This can be seen as the main component of the Industrial 4.0 industrial revolution. It can be thought that Art, Culture, Economy, Communication Models and lifestyles are now more or less individual oriented, and digitalization has become a completely human oriented concept. How the design concept will take a position in the rapid change of the digitization process and what points will contact the human life in the process of the Industry 4.0 process constitutes the main theme of this research. While investigating this subject, in the historical process, the industrial revolutions have been examined and the relation of the design concept with the people of these industrial revolutions has been tried as an art branch. It has been tried to explain the effect of design as an art branch to industrialization, "individual design" as well as the effect of technology on human life with various examples and analyzes.
