Abstract


LISTENING COMPREHENSION WİTH NOT-TAKING IN TEACHING TURKISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE AT LEVEL B2
The aim of this research is to determine the effect of not-taking listening activities on the understanding in Turkish language teaching as a foreign language. In the study, a single group pre-test-post-test experimental research method was used. The research group of the study is composed of 18 students who are studying at the B2 level within the scope of the program "Advanced Turkish for Syrias" at the Adana Science and Technology TÖMER. During the application phase of the study, students were given not-taking listening activities for five weeks. Students are asked to read related questions before the event, to determine the purpose of listening, to focus their attention on the subject and to takes notes while listening. Pre-tests and post-tests were prepared to measure listening and understanding skills. For this purpose, "Common Suggestions Framework for Languages" was used. At the same time, expert opinion was consulted. The relationship between pretest and posttest was analyzed by t test for related samples. The following result was reached in the study: Not-taking listening has a significant effect on listening and understanding skills.
