Özet
Bu çalışmanın hedefi, eski ve yeni Arap grameri çalışmalarında i‘râb-anlam ilişkisi ve i‘râbın anlama katkısıyla ilgili tartışmalarda müphem noktaları açıklamaya çalışmaktır. İlk önce eski ve yeni dönem dilcilerin i‘râb-anlam ilişkisine dair görüşleri verildi. Sonra i‘râb ve anlamın ayrılan ve ayrılmayan noktaları ele alındı. İ‘râbı daha geniş açılardan değerlendiren örnekler verildi. Bu çalışma, i‘râb ve anlam arasındaki bağlantının, i‘râb alametinin yanında, i‘râbın durumu ve kelimelerin cümledeki konumları gibi, daha geniş bir çerçevede değerlendirilmesini önermektedir. Buradan hareketle, anlam ve i‘râb arasındaki ilişkiyi, kelimelerin ve cümlelerin anlamlarını ve i‘râb konumlarını bu çerçevede açıklamaya çalışmıştır. Bu çalışma, “i‘râb alameti cümlede kastedilen anlamı gösterir” şeklindeki anlayışın her zaman doğru olmadığını ortaya koymuştur. İ‘râb anlam ilişkisi sadece i‘râb alametinden ibarettir ve bu öze dayanır.

Abstract
Abstract
The aim of this study is to try to explain the relation between declension and meaning and the ambiguity points in old and new Arabic grammatical studies. At first, opinions of the former linguists about the relation between declension and meaning are presented. Then it is tried to point out the separable and non-separable points of declension and meaning. Some examples are given to explain declension in details. This study suggests evaluating the relation between declension and meaning in a wider frame, such as the position of the declension and the positions of the words, beside the declension sign. From this viewpoint, this study tries to explain the relation between the meaning and declension, meanings of words and phrases, and declension positions in this framework. The study has concluded that the widespread understanding of “declension sign shows the meaning which is implied in the sentence” isn’t always true. The relation between meaning and declension is merely the sign of declension, and it is based on this essence.
