Abstract


NON-THESIS VIA DISTANCE EDUCATION GRADUATE STUDENTS’ VIEWS ABOUT PROJECT COURSE
This research was conducted to determine the problems and difficulties of the non-thesis graduate students via distance education during the project preparation and presentation stages. It is known that in the project course students are forced to leave their graduate education even at this stage. This study is important for students to discover what is challenging and to run the course more efficiently, to find out what needs to be done to make a scientific study more effective. The study was conducted at a state university providing non-thesis master's degree distance education. This research was carried out the fenemonographic method within the scope of qualitative paradigm. The research group consists of 10 participants who have completed non-thesis master education via distance education and have taken project lessons. The data were collected through a semi-structured interview. The obtained data were analyzed with an appropriate program. It has been determined that the participants of the project have experienced difficulties at every stage of the project development. At the end of the research, some suggestions were presented to make the distance education project more effective.
