Abstract
STUDIES DONE ABOUT KAHRAMANMARAŞ DIALECT
Dialectstudieshave an importantplace in theTurkishlanguagestudies. Based on thisimportance, therehavebeen a number of studies on Turkishlanguage. Takingintoconsiderationthesestudies, methoddifferencesarefoundregardingdialectstudies. Inordertoachieverobustinformationandresults of dialectstudies, soundsourcesshould be ownedaboutsuchstudies. Therefore, regardingTurkeyTurkishdialectsdifferentstudiesareconductedbydifferentpersons, institutions, andorganizations. A portion of thesestudiesareimpartedtoliterature, but a portionare not retained in a wayto be reachedbytheresearchers. In a dialectcorpuscreation, it is importanttoreachall of theresources. Collectingtogethertheworks done so far aboutthedialects of Kahramanmaraş is importanttohaveclearandrobustinformationabout Kahramanmaraş dialects.
Therefore, in thisstudy, studieshavebeentriedtocollect on Kahramanmaraş dialects; there has been a focus on theterm “dialect”, andbyprovidinginformationaboutdialectclassifications, commentsaregiven as to, chronologically, in whichgroups Kahramanmaraş dialectshavebeenassessed. Later, studiesaboutKahramanmarasdialectswereclassifiedchronologically. Intheliteraturereviewsmadeforthisstudy, on Kahramanmarasdialects, 9 thesesprepared at theundergraduatelevel, 4 theses at thegraduatelevel, 7 articles, 4 conferenceproceedings, 8 studiespreparedindividually, 17 pieces of articles, magazine articles, andbookshavebeenidentifiedwhich can be utilized in dialectstudies.
