Abstract


THE DEVELOPMENT OF READİNG ATTİTUDE SCALE FOR GİFTED STUDENTS: STUDY VALİDİTY AND RELİABİLİTY
Studies regarding attitudes towards reading in the literature mostly directed to the elementary and university students, thus making the work available scales have been developed with the primary and university students. Therefore, gifted / talented students' attitudes toward reading cognitive, affective and behavioral dimensions will measure the data of a measurement tool that has been developed from the audience. Data 205 gifted / talented students in science and art was taken from the center. Measuring tool has consulted experts for the content validity, structure validity for the exploratory factor analysis was performed. According to the results of exploratory factor analysis of the scale it consists of 16 items and two dimensions. The results of the analysis of variance explained that the whole scale and to determine the reliability of 45.168% for the full scale of the scale Cronbach alpha values were calculated was found to be .85. In light of this data, the scale of gifted / talented students are found to have a valid and reliable structure that can be used to measure their attitudes toward reading has been reached.
