Throughout history, women have not been as involved in working life as they are today. The fact that women are not represented in the management is a situation that has universal validity and women face a transparent ceiling in promoting to senior management in business life. It is seen that female administrators are in the minority in the teaching profession, which is mostly women. Female teachers are faced with glass ceiling obstacles during their promotion to top positions. The aim of this study is to determine primary school teachers' views on the glass ceiling, the career barriers they face and their strategies to cope with these obstacles. In accordance with the purpose of the study, the study group consists of primary school teachers working in Çanakkale city center and its districts. Qualitative research method was used in this study in which primary school teachers' opinions were evaluated. It was collected with open-ended questions in the research. Collected data were subjected to content analysis using the Maxqda program. According to the results of the research, it was determined that most of the participants saw the glass ceiling concept as an "obstacle". It was found out that the teachers who did not express their opinion about the glass ceiling and stated that they did not know were more than the ones who had an idea about the glass ceiling. Primary school teachers stated that they consider the exams and interviews they take as career barriers, and as a coping strategy, they generally remain indifferent to obstacles and do not care.
