Abstract
An Evaluation On Assemblies Which Are The Decision Bodies Of Local Governments
Turkish public administration is organized in the form of central and decentralization.
Decentralization is divided into two parts as location and service location.
Local administrations are village, municipal and special provincial administrations in our country. The legal basis for these is our 1982 constitution. The public legal entities established to meet the local needs of the local people, have autonomy and have their own budget are called local government. While local governments carry out their work and take decisions on local issues, the competent body is the councils.
Councils, which are among the bodies of local governments, are both a decision-making body and essential for democracy and local representation. In this context, these administrations, which are of great importance in terms of representation of different opinions, control and local democracy, are very valuable in our management system.
In this study, an evaluation will be made on the councils, which are the decision-making bodies of local governments.
